Moloka’i, Hawaii
Getting organized for the mule ride down to Kalaupapa we discovered it was one of the rider’s birthdays.
This song is so much better than the traditional Happy Birthday song.
Disclosure: I was a guest of the Moloka’i Visitors Bureau, they did not request that I write a favourable review or decide that I want to learn how to play the ukelele.
Love it!!
I totally agree….I would rather hear this song on my birthday than the traditional version! 😀
Me too Ron, but the Ukelele must better be there!
Beautiful! And the mule ride sounds like fun, too 🙂
I’ll have to get Tim to learn that one on the ukulele 😉
They are adorable. 🙂 Can’t stop grinning. 🙂
Now I feel like me having happy birthday sung to me by a group of strapping young men while me wearing a moose helmet with antlers isn’t as cool! This is so COOL!
Ha, yours is still cool 🙂
I love the sound of the ukelele and its prevalence in Hawaii. That’s a beautiful song.
Me too, did you know it is actually Portugese?
Haha. I need to learn the ukulele!
I love it! Are they available for my 30th in July???
You could always ask!
Bootiful. We should all learn the ukelele… and I really do hope that was you going “woo!” in the background Ayngelina?! x
MMmmm I`m not really a woo kinda girl 😉
They almost forgot the names of the birthday people! That was close! I suppose I’m still impressed though. I lack any musical talent!
Me too, I`m so tone deaf.
I met an American girl traveling with a ukelele in Costa Rica. She learned to play it when she lived in Hawaii. You might want to pick one up before you leave.
I am terribly unmusical but I may give it a shot.
Loving the song!!! I wish I could play Ukelele!
This is so great!!! 🙂
Beautiful. And good singers too!
And maybe a bit easier to sing than the regular HBD song.
I’m so glad you were able to take the Mule ride. I have always wanted to do that. It sounds like you had an amazing trip to the islands.
This is the best. 😀 I always thought the Mexican Birthday song was much better than ours but *this* just kills it! 😀 Love it.
